I have a bottle of Glennfiddich 12yo with my name on it for tomorrow, along with a Gukha XX and a Hemingway.

I'd compare the single malts that I've had to very fine Cognac, only with more flavor.

I haven't decided on the cigar(s) yet, but it will most likely be accompanied with something ending in ...gnac.

Very nice indeed!

I will burn an Opus finally and drink a glass of Blantons neat. That is the plan anyway.

threadjack on:

Bassdude have you ever tried Blantons? I also prefer bourbon and it is the best I have tried so far.

The Lismore is very smooth. Its one of the low end single malts that I have been enjoying lately, but a great value vs taste. I've had the $90 a bottle stuff, and this stuff is definitely competative to those. I think I would dare to compare it to Canadian Club for a non-scotch comparison.

Well it must be nice. I hope you guys will have a cold one, a snifter, a shooter, or a snort for me. I will be working once again. I have worked every holiday since 2001, that's what being in the casino business does for me. Be that as it may I will still enjoy a Partagas rosado (toro) on the way to work, and a short story on the way home. To be chased by a couple Newcastle Brown Ales. I wish all of you a happy and safe holiday weekend....enjoy.

I was torn between the Dalwhinny, the Laphroag the Tyrconnell and the Lord Chesterfield ale.....several times.
