He is the cutest. I always wanted a basset hound but need my own house first.

Opus probably just ate, as a Bassett gets their food all over their ears, face, etc! Cute little guy!

Yea, they're not exactly tidy eaters. I think that was cottage cheese. He's 10 1/2 months old now, weighs about 65 pounds. Still wears his food on his ears.

he's a good lookin pup/dog... do you hunt him? they are one of the best rabbit dogs.. their slow but they do not give up and stay with it 100% I raised 2 years back.. the male was my hunter and all I have is memories of hunting trips with he and my son who is grown now... the female got lose and was hit by a train.. after that I had given droopy away to a farmer... I trained him to hunt with using beagles it wasn't long before he had mastered it and did better then the beagles... If I ever get back out on a farm I will get me another basset of two...

Hey Hog,

No, about the only thing he hunts is my daughter's cat. It's a shame, too, because I grew up hunting rabbits, and I live in a rural area that is freakin infested with the varmits.
