We need to search out this deviant and give him his just rewards. I think if everyone who has been shot by the sniper posts on this thread and lists everyone they have traded with in the last couple of months there is bound to be a common denominator. I think we can figure this out.

Maybe the person you are looking for has thrown you a curve. You need to look at the people who have claimed to have been hit by the sniper. Maybe someone is telling lies about being hit and is indeed the hit-ee.

I haven't been hit, but this thing is cool...I can't believe that with so many people being hit, the killer has not been outed. The one thing that puzzles me are the postmarks....I understand that the return addresses are fakes, but what about postmarks? If the postmarks are from totally different places, that is totally bizarre...maybe SethGekko can help out here and explain it.

It could be someone that travels for a living or has friends in different cities mailing the packages.

Your theory is incorrect. The sniper pulls unknown cities to match random zip codes, prepares the lables from his computer and drops the package in the mail. The only way to solve this mystery in my eyes is to get the Post Office to scan one of the packages and see where the distination scan came from. That would would at least tell us where the person sent it from since we know the return addy is bogus.

I am like Schmitty on this too. It would be easier for me to list everyone I didn't send a package to recently, Ho Ho Ho!

If you pay by credit card, the label prints with metered postage, so there's no postmark. . . .

. . . and unfortunately, when you drop it off at the post office, we aren't allowed to do an acceptance scan. . . . . I don't agree with that, but the "logic" is that your printing of the label online qualifies as acceptance. . . . I disagree, because you may wait a few days to bring it in, so the data would be inaccurate (or not bring it in at all). . . . you may see a considerate clerk do it on occasion, but officially they aren't supposed to. . . . I've already looked up some DC numbers on some sniper packages, and have come up empty. . . . .
