Well, it finally happened - the two Chiefs finally met face to face. We met at Big Chiefs wigwam in Northern California. In the tradition of his ancesters, he fed us (the wife and I and Mrs. Big Chief) fresh caught salmon and tri-tip (I assumed it was from a buffalo slaughtered with his bare hands). We smoked many cigars, drank firewater, and watched the sun set upon his land - it was grand (hey, that rhymes...)

Big Chief: We had a great time and it was an absolute pleasure to fnally meet you and your better half. Look forward to seeing you in the future when we get up that way again. Thanks for the great dinner, company, and view.2220608.jpg

LOL!

I see you guys made it home ok...

Yes! It was a meeting of the 'joint Chiefs'....

ChiefBurg and Mrs. ChiefBurg arrived in giant land yacht. We all drink much beer/wine and ate food while trading stories--the 4 of us even took a walk!

We had a very good time, Chief--we look forward to seeing you and Mrs. on your next trip north, which we hope is soon...

BTW-how was the ride on hwy. 199? And where did you locate such a great wooden Indian?

Big Chief - We are not home yet. We are driving south right now (south of Red Bluff, CA) and will be home by tomorrow. 199 was okay and you were right about the double cliffs - Jayne stopped looked out the window a few times. And, we found the indian in Jacksonville, OR - a great find.

We look forward to our next meeting. . . maybe we can hunt the elusive gopher and claim their scalps. . .

ChiefBurg-

Any squatters on your place in S. Oregon? All well there?

When I saw the red brick building behind you and the Wooden Indian, my first thought was the Medford/Jacksonville/Grants Pass area--lots of brick was used there 100 years ago.

And you are on for a gopher hunt next time you are up this way! If we get enough, we can send some to TDub and Andy for their smokers...

No squatters and all the timber is still there!!!

We are south of Fresno and will stay the night in an RV park at some exit (didn't pay attention - saw the RV sign and turned in). We should be home early tomorrow afternoon.

Chiefburg in jville didn't say hi to me.

I passed Big Chief twice and wasn't meant to be..........

Never pass up a chance that you might not have again.

Big heap lesson for BOTL/SOTL today.
