No fireplace?

No fireplace yet. I think the wife would draw the line if I wanted a fireplace. I did manage to get a bedroom, full bathroom, living room and a kitchenette in there. My wife has already bought the intercom system so she can get a hold of me when I'm out there working 😉. Gunflint

I'd find a way to short that out QUICK!

If she wants you she should have to walk out there and git ya! No yelling either..."Sorry Hon, couldn't hear ya above the saw...shrug shoulders..."

I've told her many times that my router is so very loud, and that if it's running I won't be able to hear her. 😉 Gunflint

Any worries about the roots of that tree right in from of the window? It isn't going to mess up you foundation is it?

No, my building is actually ten feet away from the tree. When I put the slab in I made sure to take care of the root situation. If I was going to have a concrete slab out front I would have to worry, but I'm building a wood deck. The reason I kept that tree is because it is the only maple I have in the yard all my other trees are Hickory's and Oaks. Gunflint

It is a small house just don't tell my wife that. That way if she kicks my ass out I have a place to go. Gunflint

Any windows on the back side? Looks like a nice view.

Yes I have windows along the back. They look over the creek that runs thru my property. Next year I might use the shop as my deer stand. LOL I think you all have seen my wife, I give her a lot of credit. She has been the only other person to help me in the building of this shop, and we are now on our 8th week. Gunflint

Turned out real nice gun.I would like to put up a little place like that on my land that I just closed escrow on friday. How about a castiron woodstove they put off some heat?

My problem is that with a woodstove I would have a flame, and I have to stay away from that due to the flumes given off from the stains I use. Where is your land at? It may sound hard to believe but I only have a total of $15,000 in this baby. I guess it really does pay off to do the work yourself. Gunflint

Anza Ca, 11 acres. I posted a pick of it a while back. I think it was you that said I should get a survey because it is next to Anza Borrego state park. I have to do a survey because I want to split in half so if I ever have to sell at least I can keep half. That's great that you only have 15,000 in it looks like a lot more but you probably saved 15,000.
