Helix is a decent breakfast gar. I tried the Shockoe Vallys, and didn't care for them. Available only in this area (S.E.Virginia) I think. Myash, you been shopping Havana Connections? (Richmond local)

Yeah...the Helix is a great everyday mild smoker. I would compare it to a Leon Jimenes.

CW you nailed it...
I looked in the phone book for Herf House, didn't see it. There is an Olde Virginia Tobacco Shoppe in Carrytown, ever hear of it?
Hey I'm new to ciagrs... still in the mild to medium bodies, but I'm open to all suggestions. So please suggest....
I've enjoyed Diamond Crown - Dunhill - Playboy - Griffins - AVO - Ashtons.
All suggestions from BTOL/STOL are welcome...

Don't listen to those guys ... the La Unica are a pretty decent cigar, especially the maduo.

The rest ... listen to those guys ... 😉

I like the Helix and the La Unica. But I prefer more mild cigars.

Instead of buying a whole box, go down to your local cigar store and try one at a time. That way if you light up a Donkey Dung, you haven't lost a whole lot. I love my La Glorias but there are a lot of great ladels out there. John

The La Unica are fantastic and a smart choice for a new smoker, you won't be dissappointed by that bundle. The Helix are fairly mild, but they are a pretty good smoke, good construction and consistent burn every time, I hear General just bought them out, will be interesting to see if they are still around a year from now. I haven't had the top right one, and can't make out the top left. Looks like you'll have some good smoking for a while. If you want to do a trade for a few of those, email me -- frank_rizz at hotmail.com

Slim, I haf to thay, the maduo are exthellent ath well...

J/K, Never tried them.

Hey, Ash, you never know if you'll like 'em until you light one up...

It seems from an unscientific gathering of info over the years here, that a good majority of us prefer the more bold to strong smokes. I think that this selection is in the mild range.

But as SteveS always reminds us, taste is subjective.

Now get out that cutter and burn baby, burn!

Marla

ps...I knew a guy on the Connie...
