Great thrill to be able to do a "flyover" at any kind of an event! The timing has to be perfect and it always is, but what a fun time and the thrill cannot be described!

it's a neat picture, but it isn't real. look at the shadows on the stadium to see where the sun is. now look at the verticle stab on the jet to the right. i don't understand why people fabricate photos like this. what do they have to gain from it?

Actually, the pilots flying this formatiion are former students of Texas A&M and were serving in the Air Force out of Fort Worth at the time of the photo. The formation was flown for the t.u. (U. of Texas) game after the Bonfire tragedy that killed 12 students.

i must say that i have serious doubts about your story. there are obvious inconsistencies with light in the pick. the jet that holds the camera doesn't belong with the other jets. the trailing jets don't belong in the same photo as the stadium.

do you have a source for this story? if so, i'd be glad to see it.

the other thing that proves this wasnt in 99 after the bonfire collapse is that if you look in the upper right corner, you can see an area of dirt where they are doing construction...this was for a tunnel connecting the west side of campus that didnt begin until my freshman year in 2002

went on my official visit (recruiting) to A&M in 1988 when they played Alabama (Hurricane Bowl), unfortunately, Bama nailed them........BUT, had a blast in Bryan, TX. with Jerry Fontenot and Mike Arthur at the Zephyr Club, but was not ready for that much tekillya'!

If I remember correctly, the William Sneed Laboratory (workout facility) was years ahead of its time.

Quality program regardless of W's and L's.

Now, I have been to both Kyle and Tiger Stadium and both are really nice facilities! Love the college football game atmosphere, just wish I could have been good enough to play at that level. Played collegiate baseball, but back then it was not what it is today!

....been on both fields in the heat of the moment and, being as fair as it gets, Kyle Field doesn't even come close to Death Valley......sorry, jordo, but been there and done that. I must say watch the Yell Leaders is entertaining, but the sweet smell of bourbon on a mid-Octber nights breeze while "Go To Hell Ole Miss!" is being screamed at the top of 92,000+ fans (many of whom are wasted) lungs is awesome. And, yes, you can actually smel liquor periodically on the right night from the feild...crazy!

Been to many Ole Miss vs LSU games going back to the days of the Chinese Bandits defense at LSU and gotta say that this is one of the biggest sports games in the country. I know that the Oklahoma vs Texas, Ohio State Michigan, Alabama vs Tennessee games are all big time, but the Ole Miss vs LSU is just something special!
