Here is a pic of my girlfriend and I on New Year's Eve. My best friend is a photographer (currently for the Omaha World Herald), and he brings his camera everywhere. He snapped this while we were at the Zoo Bar in Lincoln, NE.

I like the pics he takes, as they're not typical, posed pictures - plus the quality is phenomenal.

RYAN; After your halloween pic. I was just a little unsure what would be here but your right, nice picture. But on the other hand you need to keep a
eye out for the people around you. I felt safer on the subways of NYC that I would in that bar. LOL

...that's an awesome picture! Perfect triangular subject pattern which pulls the focus away from the two of you, and onto the real subject who is the guy behind you. By doing this, the mind realizes that it is looking at the top of the triangle (the scary guy), and forces the eyes back onto you two. This makes whoever looks at the picture continuously bounce between the three of you. A good example of this type of art is the painting "American Gothic" by Grant Wood (the one with the farmer, his wife, a pitchfork, and a barn). The eyes are naturally pulled to the top of the barn, and the mind has to force itself to look at the farmer and his wife, thus creating the sense of "staring" or not being able to quit looking at the scene. Do you find yourself staring at that photo and wondering why you think it's so good? That's why!

I just like the diff. pts of focus and how certain parts are in focus and some aren't. For instance, the guy in the background is very blurry, yet a poster, right next to him, isn't. The balloon above my head is blurry, yet my head isn't.

Oh, and my girlfriend makes me happy.
