My god these things are beyond words in terms of taste, construction and just all around sexiness. I have a box of these chilling out in my Barrister humidor, aging. I've had that box for about 6 months now, and I'm about due to taste test one! ;)

wjmiskelly - the maduros are very oily, silky, and have a very very full bodied taste to them. Chuck full of nutty, earthy textures, with a light chocolate and coffee texture down about half-way. It's a wonderful cigar to enjoy out of the box, then let some age, like I'm doing. I tried out one that I've let age in the box for about 6 months..my god what a difference. They've mellowed out a tad, but the taste has only gotten better.

Ryan: I don't believe that ANY maduros are coming out of Cuba these days.

ELs, but these are Dominican. I very much like the naturals, haven't tried the maduros. The box I have, they are supposed to be 44 ring, but range from about 42 to 46. Very odd for a line of cigars touted for their consistancy, and fine production. Doesn't really matter to me though, they's all good.

They are the Montecristo Peruvian line. Made in the DR, apparently have some tobacco from Peru in them.

No Cuban Maduros, those are still good smokes!
