I frequent many cigar related boards and run **removed***. I just signed up for an account here ~ a week ago to bid on some cigars and noticed the forum. Just trying to dig in and get to know some people.

You might want to give the forum rules a read... as a curtusy to the fine people at Cbid, we don't post other cigar sites on the forum that might be competitive.

Glad to have you! Cbid is a wonderful place with many great BOTL!

I generally use hex1848 as my screen name. I’ve been a member at CPass for a few months, just joined BOTL. I was born and raised in Tallahassee Florida. Cigars have been in my family for 4 generations. My great grandfather got into the business after the Spanish American war and it’s stuck ever since.

I wrote **removed for competitor reference**, an informational site and like I said, I own **removed for competitor reference** which is still in its fledgling stages.

I didnt mean to advertise or anything. I just want to drum up some support for our first pass.

hex1848 --- what you are doing is not very cool at all.

These forums belong to a retail cigar business, not just a 'stand-alone' cigar forum. You sell cigars on your website, and if you had read the forums 'Rules and Conditions' when you entered, you would see that they ask that links to retail websites not be posted in their forums.

To top it off, you try to start a box pass, to
drum up support' for your website. That really takes some balls, dude.

I know ... because I tried promoting another cigar forum here once ... and was quickly put in my place ... 😉

If you want to continue posting here without stepping on our hosts toes, try leaving out the link to your site everytime you post.

Like I said, I didnt mean to advertise and I appologize for stepping on anyones toes.

I don't think Hex was trying to drum up support for his website, just trying to prove credibility for his pass.
Hex,
You might want to jump in the PIF's or PIB's before starting a pass. This will give you credibility.
If you want to do a trade or something, I can get you started. Let me know.

I'm sure that hex1848's intentions were honorable ... but the fact remains.

The links he posted are to his 'cigar forum' and 'informational site', and he does have 'cigars for sale' on those links ... which is still a violation of our hosts rules.

I'm also sure that he understands that now ... so no harm, no foul.
