A little something from the Kokosing river here north of Columbus ohio. There is a little stretch of river just east of Mt. Vernon that is GREAT. A short wade upstream and wade back usually yeilds many nice smallies. This girl was just at 16 inches, just over 2lbs. To all the smallie guys out there... only about 3 more months!!!

not really into smallies but do catch them when I head South to AR or way West into MO.

I can't wait to do any fishing at all. It's snowing up here in Bowling Green. Stupid Ohio Weather!

Pound for pound one of the strongest fighting freshwater fish there are! I love it when you get them to the boat. Then they go all over the place - most of the time directly under it!! I always wonder if they will twist the line around the motor!

weich, snow should never stop you from fishing. We had a local tournament here on Sunday the high was 12. You can still fish.

Actually she didnt jump much. The water was only about two feet deep and i best to keep her in the water. Mostly just did a bunch of head shaking,and trying to get upstream.

bassdude.. i wish i could fish, the rivers around here are out of their banks and ragging. Some idoit kid ran the river past my house the other day in a kyack and dumped it 10 miles down stream. He almost died. made the 6:00 news though haaa

Great fighting fish! They are really something to catch on a lightweight rig!

I like fishing, but not so much that I'm going to fish in 12 degree weather. I might get lucky and use my spring break to do some fishing in Florida.

Actually... i did eat it! Usually i dont keep much of anything because 1. I hate dragging them along with me wading in the river, 2. I hate getting home and having to clean the damn things, and 3. I fish that stretch a lot and i wouldnt be very good for my cause if i kept a lot of fish. But basically.. i love to fish.. and honestly.. im lazy and hate dealing with the mess of cleaning them. My father is a die hard fish eater! I told him i would be in the river that day, and he told me to bring the old man home a little taste of the Kokosing. So i did, and this fat girl was on the grill within an hour of leaving her home!! she was delicious!!
