My name is David and I live in San Juan Puerto Rico. This is a picture of my wife and I during our first wedding anniversary at a weekend getaway to Rincon Puerto Rico.

I started enjoying cigars in October. I’m not a regular cigar smoker, I have only smoked 34 since October. I’m more of a taster. I love trying different cigars from all over the place and comparing tastes in a database I have been keeping. I found CBID a couple months ago and have won 15 lots since; mostly sampler packs. I just wanted to introduce myself and thank all of you for the valuable information exchanged here every day.

I also keep a pretty tight ship on how many cigars I have smoked...roughly 200 or so last year. I guess it's just part of the hobby for me. Mine isn't anything fancy, I have the name of the cigar, the shape and size, where I got it (or who gave it to me) and how much I paid for it, tasting notes, and how many I have in my inventory. I'm not going to fool myself into thinking I am just a "taster" though. It is clever to come up with a little name like that. I am no longer a cigar smoker...I have OCD...Obsessive cigar disorder. There that justifies it. Nice to meet you.

oh yeah...if you keep winning lots at that rate, you are going to have to start smoking more just to make room. Its a win/win for everyone.

Prime,
You picked a great girl for your bride. You two could pass for brother and sister.

Good point Schmitty, but the cigars I have had were very enjoyable. The waiting period between cigars makes it all the more enjoyable when I have the next one. Perhaps with more experience and age I’ll be enjoying multiple cigars a day.

Lukin, sounds like you’re way more than just a taster. I love the many varieties of smokes that I’ve tried so far. I’m afraid if I settle down with a box of one of my favorites so far that I’ll be missing out on something so much better that I haven’t tried yet. I’m trying to fool myself into thinking that I just made an initial investment for aging in my humidor but I find myself ordering new cigars here and there; it’s addicting.

Nice question bassdude I guess you want to know me VERY well. I’m 23 y/o and have very thin light chest hair. I don’t know if I’ll ever develop a thick manly tuft. It’s ok though, my wife likes it just the way it is.

Thanks hup4, we have been asked if we were brother/sister here because we have the same last name now. Here in the Spanish culture everyone has two last names the first is their fathers last name and the second is their mothers. A woman’s name does not change after marriage. It’s a very different world here.

Ahhhhh..Puerto Rico...one of my favorite places to light up a smoke! With your weather and sunsets I would smoke 2 or 3 sticks a day!

Hell,I can smoke 34 cigars in a week! I imagine Rickamaven smokes 10 a day, DapperDan around 2 or 3! Ya, gotta improve on that number!

LMAO, and welcome, I am only teasing you!

Isn't it in Arkansas where you can get divorced and remain brother and sister? Great looking couple... Wished Millie and I were there. Have fun on the forum; nothing ever controversial there. :o)

Glad to hear you're visiting. The El San Juan Hotel has a very nice cigar bar, but plan on briniging your own; the prices are very steep.
