First off, I just want to thank TJ at CBID for working with me to find out when this bad boy would be delivered. He went above and beyond to help me find out who would be delivering this beauty and when. There was a couple of bumps, but none at the fault of the great folks at CigarBid.

TJ, thanks again for being patient with me and getting me some POC information.

Short story for those that are interested:

I was trying to get a tracking number or delivery date and TJ informed me that the company making the delivery would call and set up the delivery. Well, the wife and I just got VoIP and cancelled the phone...but it never did get shut-off like it was supposed to. Anyways, I needed to contact the delivery company since my number they had was to be turned off. Anyways, TJ got back and was patient with me...but the box ouldn't be delivered before I had tohead to work on Wednesday night. Oh well, so the wife had to deal with it...but the guy delivering was a doofus, refused to open the box all the way so the wife could inspect it. She accepted anyways.

Luckily, these things are packed GREAT!!! You would not believe how much styrofoam is packed in there, and it's double boxed.

TJ, again thanks. I'm sure I cam across as a prick, but I hope there is no hard feelings. You were very professional, and made the experience that much less frustrating. Thanks again!!!

not a problem...and you definitely did not come across as a "prick." i can understand needing more information regarging large shipments, where you have spent a large sum of money on the item. i would most definitely be the same way...

the humidor looks awesome! i hope you enjoy it!

Its empty!!!!!!! How long have you had? Time to get bidding. We need an updated picture weekly. It is a beauty. I stood in CI's warehouse and stared at one of them for about an hour. I went with a smaller version which was overflowing in about a week.

Hey he's just conditioning it right now that all, waiting for that big Hygrometer to turn to 70% before he fills it up: )

John Hay,

I added the cigars today...having a hard time deciding how I want to organize it. I've had it for less than a week, it's been challenging trying to force it to stabalize, but I figured adding the sticks today may help a bit. Anyways, it's sitting at 57% and climbing. I places a humidifier on the top exterior of it today to help raise the external humidity in hopes that it would provide a better climate. It's about 30% humidity in the house.

Very nice. I had some trouble myself when mine was delivered, as well. I was told they were going to call first, but they did not. I just happened to be home when it came - lucky for me. This thing is packed extremely well, thank God! It is a brute! I helped the guy walk it into the house. I don't know how he would have done it alone, as he was the only one delivering it and I had steps leading up to the door. I also had to wait a while to let it stabilize before starting to put my sticks in. It took about 7-10 days, as I recall. Now it's just about full, and all has been well RH-wise (COII and 2 passive devices on the bottom shelf). I can't wait until the weather warms up a bit to cut into my stock a little more than what I've been able to do in recent weeks....
Nice pics.

. . . first off, TJ helped me with my shipping questions last spring with my Verona, and he was invaluable. . . .

. . . and the delivery guy was great. . . He called my cell phone 15 minutes before he got to my house, so I could leave work and meet him. . . . we got there at the exact same time, and he helped me get it into the house and unpacked. . . . very cool. . . .

Fill that prick!!!! What kind of humidifier are you gonna use. I would go with an electronic controlled such as a large oasis etc. Because when you fill that thing theres alot of sticks to ruin. just my 2 cents.
