Imagine if you will, my bothers and sisters, the following...

A cute little furry creature foraging for food this harsh winter. Digging through mountians of snow for food to feed his family. He longs for spring and dreams of the tender shoots to appear. Today, he's not empty handed but still peers into the grey sky for the warming sun to break through. He'll take what he can get, a stale piece of bread he stole from the squirrel. It's enough for the night and will pass his serving on to those who need it most... Tomorrow is another day. (sigh).

Upon arriving home, CRACK! The trees shutter. A long distance strike. Must have been watching with a high powered scope.

Blacky hits me from nowhere with a nice package of smokes and a Superbowl starter kit: 1 lb of gernades (cheese curds) and another round of morters (beer brats).

Thank you brother! I'll be fishing on the ice on Sunday with some other buddys for a Superbowl primer. The brats and a some of the smokes won't be making it home. The curds I'll save for the party to share with the den.

I'm in MA. we'll be breaking ice on Long pond, Rutland, MA. We'll most likely get some small panfish and (hammer handel) chain pickrel. Nothing to really brag about. Just another excuse to grill, drink, and oh yeah...

Hey nothing better than a flag. Saw your other post and folks must be high out there lol. Its a tip up and has always been a tip up. Where did you live out here. Day after christmas a buddy and my self went to red lake minnesota.. Caught crappies the size of dinner plates, and caught 12 pike. One was 43 inches. have fun Ron

lps. off red leake the second weekend in Jan. I know lots of people talking about 06 opener for walleyes there. They had a walleye over 6 lps. they put back. SORRY FOR THE JACK.
