I managed to score two of these yesterday, and I have a question for all of the CAO obsessed (or not so obsessed) experts on the forum.

Does anyone know what the blend is for these cigars? The shop owner told me they're medium bodied, but had little other info.

These cigars were made for the Palms Superbowl 38 party hosted by CAO last year. Size is identical to the Odyssey, except that the foot on these is a bit more tapered. Wrapper does not have the same sheen as the Odyssey, and is more toothy, perhaps Cameroon.

Thanks for your input.

The wrapper is actually a Rosado, the only vitola CAO made with a Rosado wrapper (according to the CAO rep at a recent tasting at a local B&M). I won one of these as a raffle prize. Resting in it's coffin as we speak.

mrkmitch,

I suppose the CAO rep should know! Thanks.

Any additional info would be great.

I MAY be able to get my hands on another one or two. I can call and look into it if you want. Email me at jason dot rich at bocedwards dot com.

Here's the scoop:

We made 3800 (total cigars) of these for the Palms Casino Resort Super Bowl XXXVII (38) party last year...

We never sold them, choosing only to use them for promotional purposes at the party and afterwards. The blend is a Nicaraguan puro (not a rosado wrapper).

Just to be clear, I didn't buy them. Consistent with what Jon indicated, they were free as part of a promotion.

Thank you for the blend info. They are beautiful cigars.
