I have said it before, and I will say it again, "Adroomi, you' the man"

I have enjoyed your posts for the past 3 years or so, off and on. Always the most interesting picture posts.

I don't know why you have decided to put so much energy into this board lately, but it has made an impact.

I have always been glad Rick is having his way here, since is is largely alone, as the voice of open-mindedness, he needs to be extreme, to bring balance.

You weigh in with a different style, and it is good.

I wish I had the time to engage some of these discussions like you have lately... good job.

oxymoron rickamaven and voice of open-mindedness

I enjoy Adroomi's posts and he actually does get me to think. Rick has the exact opposite affect and I honestly can not believe you could consider him to be open minded. Rick has a distinctive one track closed mind.

Yo PMoreno349:

Your statement:

"I have always been glad Rick is having his way here, since is is largely alone, as the voice of open-mindedness, he needs to be extreme, to bring balance."

My retort:

Hmmmmmmm I wonder why Rick is "largely alone"? "Open minded", Bawahahahahaha does (President George W.bush) ring a bell with you?

We will have to start calling adroomi the (MD) maven crusader. He will have to be faster than a maven racial or ethnic slur, able to leap tall piles of maven bulls**T, and more powerful than a C-Bid yanked maven post. Good luck adroomi.

THL I like your style. .

There is no open mindedness to Rick's post. You liberals always see your opinion as being open minded. That's just a load of horse hocky.

When anyone disagrees you all scream foul. But when they all tow the company line, ie. .anything but morals, values, ethos, and or principles, they are open minded. I think not.

And in case you haven't noticed, most people; let me rephrase that almost all the people on this board, take issue with Rick on a regular basis. Not because they aren't open minded, but because he is so arrogant and devisive.

when i talk about my family, or parrots, or movies, or anything except bush, i am neithr arrogant nor devisive.

i'd like to say i will be less arrogant or devisive when i post anything about the administration, but i would be lying.

i will post something about parrots for you and you will, assuming you like parrots, enjoy the site or sites i post.

there will be no politics, since the african grey is not a political animal.

Ric I've never really been into Parrots however I found the peice to be rather interesting. Probably as interesting as anything you have ever said on CBID.

Thank you

....a few that are willing have probably noticed something about most of my posts....they are usually never from one strict discipline of thinking. I agree with one thing, but then disagree with something else that is very similar. It's not a one track mind that I have, but rather about a 400 track mind. It just depends on what suits me, my family, and the good of mankind. I oppose smoking, but yet smoke, etc.....

There's a song that I particularily like, it goes like this:

He's a poet, he's a picker

He's a prophet, he's a pusher

He's a pilgrim and a preacher, and a problem when he's stoned

He's a walking contradiction, partly truth and partly fiction,

Taking every wrong direction on his lonely way back home.

Question Everything.

I had just marked you off as psychotic. Mnay of us are an enigma - and some are just like a plodding train.

Your music tastes are all over as well.

Kris Kristofferson????

...music is my heartbeat.

Artist or style has nothing to do with the taste. It's all about the lyrical message that is being brought forward, and the sound of the beat.

Kris Kristofferson, Tom Waits, Feli Kuti, George Benson, Korn, Andrea Bocelli, Elvis Costello, Iron Maiden, Keiko Matsui, and numerous others from all over the globe........they are literally music to my ears.

Hey Pablo,

My running partner returned from Laos yesterday....he brought me a really good souvenier in a small box. Last night I couldn't get out of my chair for 4 hours straight.....I was awake but not moving, that's for sure.

What a great guy!

Yes, Ricki Lee Jones was playing on the CD player and man did it sound good!

Call me a loser as some others on this board do....call me a criminal even though I support the laws (most of them)......call me a crazy, and a prophet and a pusher, but man I really do enjoy getting good and st*ned once in a while!

Back in my high school days I was the Min Ron Nee of that other smokeable leaf.

All squinty eyed all hours of the day and night...

Then I reached the age where my mother could boot my stoner ass out of the house. The recruiter stopped by... and the rest is history.

I miss it sometimes, but all in all I am glad I changed the direction my life was headed.

MAC,

We all grow up and we all grow wiser......

One day when you've retired, and you aren't even thinking about it, somebody will hand you a jo*nt and you'll tuck it away somewhere......a few weeks later, you'll sit on your balcony or porch and light it up and be thankful for all the good memories you have....

I don't believe the local Sheriff's Department (which is logically my next choice of career) will approve, so I think i'll wait until I retire the second time.
