If those announcers annoy you, and most of them do annoy me, do what I do...........mute them and play music on the stereo. "Come Fly With Me" by Sinatra is great to watch ski jumping or snow boarding with! If I want to hear what the jerk, er announcer is saying, unmute and listen! Charlie

ANy sport that is conteted by at least 7 nations is eligible for consideration to be added as an olympic sport. I personally find the short track speed skating and the sled events (luge and bobsled) and after 54 years the skeleton exciting. I was 11 in '80 and remember getting to stay up to watch the gold being won. It was awsome to see the whole team light the flame. I also find curling interesting, that takes some serious skill. But the figure skating I can do without. Todd

While those of us who enjoy the sports where defense is played and the more "manly" competition is involved.........face it.....Figure Skating is the most popular sport of Winter Olympics and hardest ticket to get! So they are not going to drop it as an Olympic event! Charlie

No Rick, it is Sarah Hughes, and whether you want to acknowledge it or not that was one of the great moments in Olympic sports history. Sarah Hughes deserved to win the Gold and she damn well did it under heavy pressure with one of the greatest performances of all time! I think a nunnery is where they put the nuns in those penguin looking robes. Kind of like a cannery...but instead its a nunnery.
