I was not pimpin our President - I don't think he is a King, I think he is a human being in a very tough job and is doing the best that he can. Regardless how I have felt about previous presidents i.e. Clinton I always respected the position and the job they had to do - whether they did it well or didn't do it well I still had to respect the position of President. Do I like war? HELL NO. Do I think that war is necessary sometimes - yes. Do I like to read about our military personnel being killed over in Afghanistan and Iraq - HELL NO, but that is what happens in war - for both sides - there is casualties. War isn't supposed to be pretty, it is supposed to be ugly and harsh. No matter how we feel about this war our troops and yes, even our president needs our support. Do you honestly and truly think any president wants to send troops into a war knowing what will happen? If you think yes then you have some serious serious issues that only a psychiatrist can help you out with. I read the news, I watch the news, not only from my own backyard but around the world. I don't need anyone telling me what the news media prefers to show about Iraq or anywhere else for that matter I can SEE it for MYSELF and that is the only reason why I sent these pics. I have a song by Anne Murray - its called A Little Good News - where she discusses this very thing - all you see on the news, in the newspaper is all the terrible things that are going on and she wishes for once to hear about a county fair, and all the good stuff that is going on. Dwelling on the bad only brings about negativity when there is so much of that anyway. I'm not saying don't report on the bad stuff, but mix it up a bit, show some of the good stuff with the bad!

Liz i really don't think ol georgi give a damn about anyone but himself and his rich friends. if he cared he would pull out and say i made a mistake. i can deal with a man that says that and acts on it. but to continue the insanity when we can't afford it and it makes no sense....i can't deal with.

i was listening on the radio last nite about a soldier involved in an incident in Iraq where he shot an Iraqi and now he's up on charges of murder when it sounds like he was just doing his job. don't know all the details but it stinks to high heaven. now we send our people over there to do a job that makes no sense and then say do it with both hands tied behind your back. sounds to me like a waste of time, life and money. i say if Americans want to help the Iraqi people then let the ones who want to help send their money and risk their lives...i say we can't afford it anymore.

just to clear up one possible misconception about jekyl's last rant, it appears that the Marine officer being charged had previously been cleared by an official inquiry after the incident. Some time later a member of his unit (perhaps with a personal grudge, maybe?) filed a formal complaint about the incident, claimed the officer had committed murder, and the Corps then had no choice but to reopen the case. Hopefully the matter will soon die the administrative death it seems to richly deserve.

Of course Jerkyl had it all wrong, as all of his other rants and snipes!
