2 of my buddies and I are taking our wives out for dinner tonight and all 3 of these beautiful ladies have agreed to smoke cigars with us for the first time. I'm thinking that the experience should be a memorable one, so I figured ISOM's all the way but unsure if thats such a good idea considering the high octane of MC #2's. What do you guys suggest as a first smoke for a woman, since all 3 of us hope they really enjoy them enough to wanna get involved with our crazy obsession. To this point, my wife tolerates it but wants nothing to do with it. She's the one on the right by the way. Thanks and wish me luck. Frank.

I'd be hesitant about giving a first-timer a Monte #2. Although they're not the fullest smokes out there, they can be quite strong. If you want her to smoke cigars again in the future, I'd suggest going with something mild and smooth. Maybe pick out something that has a little bit of creaminess or sweetness to it. Fonseca Vintage, AVO, K. Hansotia Symphony...those come to mind for me. Keep the Monte #2s for the big boys 🙂

I gave a girl a Monte #2. She enjoys cigars quite regularly. However, she was turned off by it because of its ample strength.

Frank...

did you get any Trini Reyes? Those are great for the females. I have a buddy whose wife will only smoke those. Another choice would be a Monte #4, IMO. All the classic Monte tase without the large size of the #2...

I agree Steve, the #2's would be to strong. My buddy thinks we should get a couple from the Acid line. I've had a few here and there, but honestly don't know much about them. The few I had, I mostly just gave away because I'm just not into flavored cigars. I know CAO also makes a flavored line.

Drew Estate cigars are a great choice. If you're looking to try the ACID line, people tend to start with the Blondie. It's one of the mildest in the line, and offers a smooth sweet flavor.

Other Drew Estate cigars that may work:

Kahlua corona. Pleasant, creamy, rich, slightly sweet and a nice size that won't intimidate a first-timer.

Natural Jucy Lucy. Very smooth, mellow and rich. A nice, quick mild bodied cigar that is usually used to introduce newcomers to the Natural line.

I think thats it Steve. I'm off to get the Kaluha's. Its funny because as soon as I mentioned the name to my wife, she immediatly said thats the one she wanted to try. Thanks.

Reg,
Yes, Molly Ringwald coughed her way through a toke of Judd Nelson's "doobage" and Hall, with his Rayban Wayfarers on, and his best "weird science" brother accent made that little line that became my favorite one-liner for the past 20 years.

Ok, so you seem to have made a nice choice...

FUN pic!

Great lookin' bunch 'o girls!

My first was an ISOM Cohiba esplendido...that's about all I know about it...LOVED it...not my fav now, but a good foot in the door!

I'd suggest a AF Short Story for a girl wanting to smoke a cigar for the cigar, if they get into it on down the road.

And I'd suggest any of the flavours by CAO for a girl wanting to smoke something that is not so cigar flavored (not to knock CAO by any means!!!)

I absolutely love every single CAO that I've smoked with the exception of the criollo (too harsh IMO).

Haven't tried the Kaluha...yet...I'm not too familiar with DE...yet...

Have fun and happy VD!

Can I have the redhead's phone number if things don't work out???? All three are knockouts. Have fun

Hog made a good suggestion. My wife like the CAO-Moontrance, Earth Nectar, or Gold Honey. They have a sweet taste which lures a women to smoke more. Start off mild and let them move up as they choose.

??? What was under the trench coats? LOL!
