We had been trolling all day with no luck. From Miami to Key Largo and 1/2 to the Bahamas and back. No Birds to lead us to bait fish. No weed lines to troll past. No flotsam. Nothing. Just a Hot, Flat Calm, South Florida Day. As we were nearing Elliot Key, we almost pulled in the lines and called it a day. I suggested to my buddy that we troll on up to the other entrance thru Elliot Key to head back to Black Point Marina. Nothing Still. So, as my buddy dropped the engine into idle, to reel all the lines in, the falling bait must have gotten this kingfishes attention. We were shocked from being on the water all day long and nothing happening and all of a sudden when the Shimano TLD started singing. This is a smile of ironic joy.

There is a lesson to be learned here:

Never stop fishing.

Now you know how to catch more. Stop fishing several times a day.

Try playing "The Allman Brothers, Fillmore East, Whipping Post" It seems to drive the kings nuts! LOL
