I have just recently started posting on here and this whole thing is great. I want to start establishing myself on here. In stead of my emailing some vets I decided to switch the idea around. I am currently looking for (4) people to accept my proposal. I will be mailing out 7 packages for trade to start establishing myself. Please respond to my post in order answering one of the following questions. So the first reply will answer newbie question 1. The second reply will answer Newbie question 2. And so on. Please allow the so called "vets" to answer these questions as, I am trying to establish myself. I am currently sending out packages already to E-Chick, StogiePA, and K9Kop for their warm welcome to the board. Here are the questions. 1. What is needed to make a coolidor? I notice a lot of the pictures I see have humi-beads, where can they be purchased?
2. For trades how are the cigars usually shipped? What type of packaging? Shipped through what company?
3. What do you suggest as the best way to trade? Should I go out and buy a few boxes or send out the small quanity I have?
4. What is my favorite smoke?

1) A coolerador is a fancy name for a cooler that you keep your smokes in to help normalize humidity and temperature. You can use'em off the shelf from wallyworld, or line them with cedar if you wish. Climmax beads are like little hollow balls that absorb moisture when the ambient humidity is above their rated RH, and exude moisture when it is below. There are other crystals, or beads used by POTL, but these have to be used with a PG solution, as they do not regulate humidity themselves. Climmax, as far as I know, can only be purchased from the manufacturer; google :climmax, youl'll find it. (do not mispell it, or you may inadvertently purchase the kind that go in your ass).

I could answer questions 1, 2, and 3. Question 4 would be a wild guess. As I understand it the first to reply should answer Q1, the second should answer Q2 and so on. Looks like were on Q3 or Q4. Could you fill me in on which question were at?

Another newbie! It's nice to know your not alone in your newbieness. I was thinking of changing my handle which was hastily contrived in the wee hours. allidiotness would be more appropriate. Can you change your handle without creating a new account?

Why oh why didn't I read these posts FIRST! I have a cooler sitting unused that I now want to bastardize.
I just bought some Puros Indios pyramid 2's in a box that now reside with a bowl of water and a calibrated hygrometer in the cooler. It's lame but it's a start.
