On Friday I came home from work. Sitting on the counter was a package. I had won a pipe on ebay, and just assumed that it was what was in the box. Without a second thought I ripped into the box.

But wait a moment, what was this?

Nestled in peanuts was a Penn 555 fishing reel. For those of you not familiar with Penn, they make solid, heavy duty reels for chasing big fish. This one is huge, is a baitcaster style reel that does not have a level wind. This is so that you can cast farther when fishing in the surf.

It was spooled with some truly stout (40 lb?) mono.

Who could have launched this unprovoked attack?

None other than wilberdew. Man, you went way beyond what was appropriate sending me this reel. I do not have anything that I can send you in return that even approaches this reel. Shoot me an email.

It may need to be oiled its been in my shed for about 2 years.If your fishing in fresh water you may have to pour some salt on it so it will fell at home.
