A thing of BEAUTY!! I never did learn how to "back it in" like that. Although i did start to lear how to trail break. That added a whole new demention to my riding. Being able to get on the throttle while in the apex of some turns.. ride the back break just a touch trough the corner tames it down just a touch and keeps that rear end down. I love it!!!

R..Not to be a "Oneupper" but..I use to have his autograph on my Shoe from a mid ohio race. Dumb me was to cheap to retire a $350.00 helmet and you can barley see it any more. Ohh well... it was cool for a while HAAHAA. Funny thing is.. it would have proabably been worth twice that if I stuck it on Ebay.

Seth, No i havent. I was just about to get into the "Open track day" stuff when "Goin through the big D" forced me to sell my bike. If things go as planned I will be back on 2 wheels this summer. Im really torn between the new VFR, and a yellow honda 600rr. I still have all my gear, boots, helmet, leather that are yellow and black, so i might go with the 600, that is if i can find one.
SR26 going north east out of marietta is a fn doozy though!! hang on to your shorts!

Oh Man....just got back from Corse Superbikes in Saukville, Wisconsin. Those new Ducati 999's look GREAT!!! But I still love my 996....torn between 2 lovers. The 999 looks better, but the 996 SOUNDS much better. What should I do????

BTW...VFR, the 996's rear brake is designed specifically to trail brake, as you say. The rear brake cylinder barely amplifies the input..not for braking, but for trailing. I always thought trail braking was feathering the front on entrance...to pull the rear around. Maybe I am wrong.
