as I said in the earlier post.. this one looks to be a Harley Vintage 1917?? (you can tell by the drip pan underneith) 1903 was the Year Harley became known...and they have the one of the original at the plant in Milwaukee... 1903 was also the Year for the Write Brothers!!! (First in Flight) and a vintage harley sits at (or used to) Write Pat musium in Dayton OH..

I agree, looks like an early board track racer. Many guys died in that kind of racing, including spectators.

It is a board track racer, a Yale. Made by the California Cycle Company. First production manufactured motorcycle to go coast to coast across America. Took 49 days. California Cycle Co. started in SAn Francisco in 1901-02. This is a 1916-77 racer I think.
