Thought with all of the bird and hunter's pics as of late...some of you might enjoy this.

I live in Maryland and we had tons of those guys running around the place when I was a kid. Between the now-protected red fox, the now-protected redtail hawk and no-till planting...they have all but disappeared. Shame. Plenty of hawks and foxes though!

Yeah...this was a rare sight in New Mexico. There's some bird sanctuarys south of Albuquerque that this might be a regular sight at...but in the metropolitan area...not so much.

They look hilarious when they run.

One time, I webt hunting with my Dad and a guest from Germany for pheasants. Going for natural birds is tough in PA, but nevertheless we expected to find a few. After a very long and hard hunt, we drove home, without a pheasant among us.

The next morning at home Il ooked out in the yard and saw two roosters.

We all had a good chuckle and then did what any good nautured hunters would do, we killed them both.
