This is a 6" torp rolled by Oliva. After I took this picture, I was hoping it would make it to the label, at which time I was going to snap another one. The ash fell 1/4" from the label. 6" torp, cut 1/2" from the head and it measured 2-1/4" left when the ash dropped, meaning it held a 3-1/4" firm white ash. Even after it dropped to the table, the ash held together and I could pick it up in one piece. Oh, did I mention that this is one damn fine smoke?

Ah, the El Cobre. I bought a sampler of those a while back - thanks for reminding me that I need to try one.

Got in a flight sampler last week and couldn't keep my hands off of them. I want a bunch more. Should have grabed them when they where going cheap, but I wanted to try them first. Now every lot is closing at close to retail.

#4 So, what, you'd have to pay a full $4 per cigar? IMHO, the list of better $4 cigars out there is might short.

I'm the guy who stocks up on Antanos and LX2s for $3, 777s for $2.40, Kristoffs for $3.30, Kinkys for around $3.50, Camacho Triple Maddies, Selects, Diplomas and 10th Ann for $2.50, run of the mill Camachos for $2, and dozens of other premiums for under $1.50. Hell, I've got tons of several Oliva rolled long fillers (that many here have tried and love), that put me back a whole 90 cents. The last time I spent anywhere near $4 was for a box of Oliva V Perfectos ($3.95) and a pile of Tat Nobles.

Make my words. I'll get a bundle (25) of these for well under $40. I'm very patient, Grasshopper, and only strike at my price. A necessity when you smoke 2 to 4 sticks a day, where out of work 24 weeks last year and currently paying yourself half salary.

I just found the last one from the sampler I bought back on 2010. Time to revisit El Cobre.

Yes, pull something up from 3-1/2 years ago, when I was a wet behind the ear noob, who thought he knew more then he did.

I've had dozens of cigars hold better ashes then that one. I never did get anymore of those El Cobres, though. I wonder if 3-1/2 years later, I'd still consider them something I'd want to smoke?
