-bottle of 95 • Old Rip Van Winkle 13 Year Old Family Reserve Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey (locally - bar none the best whiskey I've had.

96 • Cruzan Single Barrel Estate Rum.
Deep amber. An intense nose of pickling spices, dill, and cedar. A silky entry leads to a very smooth, oily, dry, medium body with intense Christmas spice, praline, tropical fruit, and oak elements that linger on the finish. An outstandingly complex and flavorful rum with a Cognac-like profile. (tasted on 2002-06-05)
96 • Espolon Añejo Tequila.
Rich golden amber color. Deliciously spicy, mocha, and caramel nose. A smooth supple entry leads to a fruity medium-to full-bodied palate with rich dried autumn fruits, honey, and lavish brown spices. A very lengthy finish of sweet marinating spices and herbal agave. A deep and elegant añejo made for contemplative sipping. (tasted on 2003-08-05)
95 • Old Rip Van Winkle 13 Year Old Family Reserve Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey.
Deep tawny copper. Powerful caramel, spice, sweet tobacco, and estery aromas jump from the glass. A smooth, broad entry leads to a medium-to full-bodied palate with sweet toffee, roasted nut, and leather notes. Finishes with a wave of white pepper, spice, and long-lingering dried fruit flavors. A profoundly rich and oaky rye whiskey. (tasted on 2002-01-01)
