My daughter Scotlyn for the half mile came in 6th out of 239 and 2nd for 5 year old girls with a time of 4.06. Last year she came in first for girls in the quarter mile.She is the little blond at the top of the picture.The little girl that took first did it in 3.51 that's fast for a 5 year old. In the 10 year old a boy by the name of Darren Fahy did the mile in 5.06 and beat all previous records. You may see him in the Olympics some day. That is very fast for a 10 year old! It was a fun day. Colton my 8 year old son got pushed down(some foul play, its tough out there, LOL)but still came in 84th out of 283 with a time of 8.27 in the mile.

A kid did the mile in 5 minutes and 6 seconds!!!!!!!!!! HOLY CRAP!!!!!

And your son in 8 minutes and 27.... I swear to you Dan that when I was in Jr. High they made me run a mile in gym class to time me (everyone had to do it) and I tried hard and got 8 minutes and 50 seconds, LOL.

Cute kids, it's great to see children do more than sit in front of video games. I teach 6th grade and see far too many overweight little ones.
