My wife took this photo and I didn't even know it. I think it's a good one.

This was right before Will caught the fish in the other photo.2788527.jpg

Yes, it is.

And it would look even better in black & white.

^ Thanks.

B&W always looks good in my opinion. I do really like this photo though. Seems like the best photos are the ones that you're not ready for, ya know?

"Seems like the best photos are the ones that you’re not ready for, ya know? "

Very true. Many major awards given out where the "right place, right time" off the cuff shot wins over the studio/planned shots.

B&W removes the distractions from this photo, instead of focusing on what is obviously a boy and his father, in color, the human eye is drawn to that safety orange life jacket like a moth to a flame. In color, the eye sees the individual components and focuses on them, rather than studing the picture as a whole.

While it's a nice pic, I have to wonder...shorts, low or no socks. Where the hell do each of you stash your backup weapon? Can't get away with an ankle holster there without causing a panic.

#8 - "Small of the back" holsters work really well.

But when I'm on the boat, I keep my weapon (hehe) in one of the compartments. I'm NEVER without at least one gun more than a few feet away at any one time.
