Here is a picture of our kids. We adopted our daughter 2 years ago. As many of you know, we just got back a few weeks ago with our son.

Our son is adjusting well, all things considered. It is amazing how well kids can adjust to change. He is settling in to his new home and family and making progress every day. As far as his heart condition, we just got back from Seattle Children's Hospital last night for his evaluation.

In China he was diagnosed with a small hole in his heart (Atrial Septal Defect and/or Patent Foramen Ovale for those who are interested). IT HAS COMPLETELY CLOSED UP. After a full day of testing (EKG, ultra sound, pokes and prods, bend over and

cough ....) the doctor came back into the room and said THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH HIS HEART! EVERY THING LOOKS GOOD! No hole, valves look normal, all the arteries look right -- there is nothing wrong! God is so good!2825153.jpg

Beautiful, Kimmer! Sis looks mighty possessive, lol!

I'd keep an eye on the little guy, though - he's got that little "I'm a flirt" smile going......lol!

Thats outstanding......I hope everything goes well for your family. My sister is adopted, but my folks were able to adopt her when she was only a few months old so we are the only family she knows.

DaQueen - he is a complete flirt. Every restaurant we went into he would have the waitresses cooing over him in no time.

Thanks - still having a hard time getting my mind around the clean bill of health. We have spent the last year worrying and praying about his heart -- now God has answered!

#17 - I flew in on a 7 am flight. First Dr. appt was at 9:30. Last appt got done about 4:00. Grabbed a bite to eat and drove back home (my wife and kids drove over on Sunday). Although we make it over to Seattle 3 or 4 times a year, seems like there is never any real down time while there. Someday I hope to hook up with the Seattle area BOTL.
