Listen to me, baby

You got to understand

You're old enough

To know the makings of a man

Listen to me, baby

It's hard to settle down

Am I asking too much

For you to stick around

Every boy wants a girl

He can trust to the very end

Baby, that's you

Won't you wait but til then

When I see lips

Begging to be kissed (stop)

I can't stop (stop)

I can't stop myself (stop, stop)

Lightnin's striking again

Lightnin's striking again

Nature's taking over

My one-track mind

Believe it or not

You're in my heart all the time

All the girls are saying

That you'll end up a fool

For the time being, baby

Live by the rules

When I settle down

I want one baby on my mind

Forgive and forget

And I'll make up for all lost time

If she's put together fine

And she's reading my mind (stop)

I can't stop (stop)

I can't stop myself (stop, stop)

Lightnin's striking again

Lightnin's striking again

And again and again and again

Lightnin's striking again

Lightnin's striking again

There's a chapel in the pines

Waiting for us around the bend

Picture in your mind

Love forever, but til then

If she gives me a sign

That she wants to make time (stop)

I can't stop (stop)

I can't stop myself (stop, stop)

Lightnin's striking again

Lightnin's striking again

And again and again and again

Lightnin's striking again

And again and again and again2827754.jpg

Lightening sucks! My house took a hit a couple weeks back. Looks like it might have hit the rain sensor on my sprinkler timer, then traveled down to the control unit and it blew to pieces all over my garage. I found the face plate on the other side of the garage.

It apparently arced the built in surge protector and the cord to the wall outlet. It also fried the underground copper wiring and the electric valves on the other side of the house. ($375)

Cable guy showed me where it also came through the cable. Burnt and melted the connection to the house. Fried the cable router- and wireless phone base ($100) that was plugged in to it. Fried my wireless router too. ($75-100)

Also, cable guy said it also did damage to the whole neighborhood's router(?) down the block, much of which was supposedly burnt.

(Oh, and my son reminded me that lightening is hotter than the sun

Lightning can reach temps of 50,000 degrees F. The surface of the sun is about 10,000 degrees F, but the sun's inner core is over 25 million degrees F.

Our house took a direct hit last Tuesday at 3am. Knocked me right out of bed it was so loud! I've never heard rumbling like that go on for so long. It must have been a full minute or so and others around town heard it too.

It blew a hole in our roof about 3'x2' but fortunately the cast iron vent pipe that goes from the basement sewer connection to the roof directed it all into the ground. No fire. Smoke from my son's clock radio, looks like we might have lost a few small appliances but no fire. Now I just need to get a couple more estimates and deal with the insurance company...
