I am respectfully suggesting that unbanded smokes be labeled or somehow identified when they are sent for trading or bombing.

I have a PILE of smokes I can't ID. If I like them, I'd be pissed because I wouldn't know how to get more.

These are probably various seconds or overruns...but who knows.

I know that I have sent out unbanded ISOMs, but I usually communicate via emial, etc what they are.

I hear ya. I have a fistful of unbanded ISOMs that I am clueless on. The only time I really care is when I smoke one and want more. the only time I have received doms unbanded have been fro blind reviews.

hear hear....I am totally anal about keeping track of what I have smoked, who sent it, etc. Its nice to know what I am smoking...

I got a package a few weeks ago comepletely full of unbanded cigars, and now I have no idea what they are!!!

But seriously, most of the time people that send me unbanded sticks know what kind they are sending. However once, I smoked it, it was awesome, I asked what it was, and got an I Don't Know as a reply....ugh. I would kill to know what it was....

I avoid sending unbanded cigars in trades and bombs, so to not cause that inconvienance to someone. I know I would wonder what they are, so I try to save the received from doing the same out of courtesy.

I hate unbanded smokes also. I was in the local this week and he had four boxes of Comacho Diplomas, none had bands.

So as to save some of you fine gentleman the festerous agony of not knowing what they are, I propose a depot for getting rid of them.....a sort of storage facility. It would be an insufferable burden for me but, I would be willing to help you out with that..Hehehe

DaSap,

It has been my experience that the troops are simply thankful for the gift from America and the smoke itself. If you could send them all banded Cubans, they would smoke them. If you send Jane Doe smokes, they'll smoke them.

Don't over analyze it, just send them.

Since this post has picked a little steam.........

I want to remind all that I am guilty of this ALSO, and I have been very appreciative of generous gifts from my POTL.

I just think it would be better if I knew what I was smoking.

I send unbanded cigars on rare occassions.

If you don't want them, send them back to me and I will gladly smoke them. 🙂

So If I may get serious for a moment. Should ISOM's be sent without bands for obvious reasons & then e-mail the specifics as to what it was?

Most cabinet cubans are unbanded, unless they are recent. If it has a triple cap, and is unbanded, enjoy. The recent cuban cabinets have bands. If you want more, maybe the sender can enlighten you. If not, at least you enjoyed the smoke. I live for the moment. So I just smoke them, and enjoy the moment.
