man, i hate to be a jerk, but i haven't seen him on the boards before. i've only been on for about a year, so i know there are many i haven't seen anything from. if you've ever dealt with him at all, please vouch for him. i'm currently working a deal with him, and i don't like making the other guy go first when i'm still fairly new. he really doesn't have much reason to trust me yet. can anyone help?

I don't think that you are being a jerk. It's better to error on the side of caution. Surely he can understand. If not, there's plenty of other guys to trade with.

thanks, guys. i'll request that he send first. he seemed to be willing to do that when we first discussed the deal. he seems like a decent guy. i'm sure we won't have any problems. i just hate to tell someone i don't know, "trust me. i'm honest." yeah, we've all heard that one before.
