Dear Tony, Just a short note to tell ya how much we all miss you. My guess is your puffin a way on a good smoke right now with alot of that pepper you liked so much. I finally tried those Quorum robusto's you clued me in on: you were right they are really good for the price. Things here at the forum are same as always ,Conservative- Liberal- Rick- John R etc.... E-Chick left at least for now.As before we could all benefit from your peacemaking abilities at times but we are doing ok. Slim's still here and so is Homebrew and Pablo . What you started with OPFTH is going strong and your officers are doing a job beyond belief:and in your memory of course. I sure do miss you as do all of us. Some day i hope we can all have a big herf in heaven with you. Goodbye for mow my Comrade , Your friend Jack

hugsss Jack for the nice tribute. You are right we miss Tony and the way he could make us all taste a cigar just by the way he described them and how you wanted to run to your local shop and grab some just to experience the taste of Tony's words. *Hope that made sense* And you are also right about Tony and his peacemaker role - he'd love the debating, but would try to put out all the flames and soften things up as much as he could. and OPFTH was just that came from Tony's heart as it does now from Keith and the others who proudly carry on for Tony. A true BOTL in every way who will be missed until we can all herf together in the big Herf House in the sky 🙂

Iced Earth - Watching Over Me

I had a friend many years ago

One tragic night he died

The saddest time of my life

For weeks and weeks i cried

Through the anger and through the tears

I've felt his spirit through the years

I'd swear, He's watching me

Guiding me through hard times

I feel it once again

It's overwhelming me

His spirits like the wind

The angel guarding me

Oh, I know, oh, I know

He's watching over me

Oh, I know, oh, I know

He's watching over me

We shared dreams like all best friends

Blood brothers at the age of ten

We lived reckless, he paid the price

But why? Why did he have to die?

It still hurts me to this day

Am I selfish for feeling this way?

I know he's an angel now

Together we'll be someday

I feel it once again

It's overwhelming me

His spirits like the wind

The angel guarding me

Oh, I know, oh, I know

He's watching over me

Oh, I know, oh, I know

He's watching over me

Jack,

One of my goals in life is to be a writer, but what I said about Tony came directly from my heart as it did for everyone on this thread. Tony was a BOTL like no other and will be forever missed.

i agree with all of you.

unfortunately the administration, the fundamentalists, and the christian right don't think he was allowed into heaven.

save your insults, i think if there is a heaven he's there, but i am none of the above.

Jack,

IMHO Tony was already a writer, maybe unpublished other than here, but his words when he wrote about cigars were amazing and there's no doubt in my mind that he could have been a very successful writer because the ability to make the words come alive is what makes a great writer and Tony could certainly do that!

I wish big Tony was still here...

I sent him a little care package of Cubans from the gulf. Shortly after he got them, he had the accident. I was SO looking forward to his review of those cigars...

Only the good die young, so it'll be awhile before I get to smoke with you. (Tony liked a good joke).

Rest easy brother Tony. Rest easy.
