I see on the quickies the very high end Partagas are available in a five pack, bidding now at $75. Now be honest, are these cigars really worth the kind of money I see them advertised for? I will often take a chance buying a box of cigars, but not when it involves that kind of investment. I wonder if anyone here actually believes the price these cigars command is worth it, I suspect more of a status thing, give me a cheap La Luna or Puros Indios and a beer and I'm happy.

The final tally was $107, which is about $22 a piece. While I have not personally smoked one, I have heard they are very good. In fact, most websites or stores that offer these (on very rare occasions), the price is
at least $50 plus. Can't imagine a cigar being THAT good.

I also can't say how they taste. I have a Partagas 150A in my humidor, waiting for the right time to enjoy it. It cost me $30.00, so $22 doesn't sound outrageous for a 'gar with an 18 year old wrapper.

The reviews I've heard lately tend to say these have sat long enough that they are quite a bit milder than most would have liked. Personally if I'm going to pay that much I want something I can taste.
