Howdy,

I started a thread on the "cigars & related" forum about a box of PAM 64's I purchased. I was wondering if they are real.

Any comments (even the smart-arse ones) are appreciated.

hard to tell from the scan. the 'gars themselves dont look to be up to the Padron quality, uniformity...try emailing Padron.

I'd say sorry dude, those don't look like any PAM's I've ever seen. There's no way they'd pass Quality Control. Stranger things have happened so, smoke one and see what you think.

i odnt know about authenticity but they look like they haven't been well cared for ...

had a friend who had let some LGC's go dry in his humi...I mean crispy and when we brought them back the wrapper's looked alot like these, heavily wrinkled, but after a couple of weeks they looked fine...

Hmmm, quite a strange batch of smokes there... Besides the odd appearance of the wrapper, everything else looks legit... The bands appear to have the correct coloring, lettering, sizes, and spaces, the serial numbers are in nonsequential order, but close enough to each other to seem genuine, the ribbon looks to be good... But the wrinkled wrappers just wouldn't make it out of the Padron factory. I think they are most likely genuine, but encountered some storage problems during their life. Where did you get them from? Oh, one more way to check for authenticity, there should be a small slip of white paper towards the rear of the box between the actual box and the cedar lining, if you contact padron, that should help you verify if the box is authentic.

They look like they were over humidified... wrinkled wrappers lead me to believe that... Take one to a store and compare to make sure the wrapper and band is up to par.

Howdy again,

Thank you all for your replies.

The backstory on these is I purchased them off of Ebay. I know, I know, I should never buy gars off of Ebay. But the guy had sold other PAMs, and the feedback from those buyers was positive.

Anyway, I get this box and it's not sealed. I tell him I want exchange for a sealed box, and he will only give me a refund.

After hearing from my BOTL, I think I will take him up on the refund.

Thanks all,

jcwbnimble.

Those wrappers look like they experienced some serious shifts in humidity.

I think they look for badly stored PANs.

Sorry - look like, not for.

This is a pretty difficult band to reproduce. They also have a serial # on them. Look there first.

Maybe the auctioner likes PAMs, smokes them and rebands rockets. We haven't heard of anyone like that, now have we.

Although, I would say that is highly unlikely, I think they are just damaged from humidity.

When you send them back, how do you know the seller will refund your money? Did you pay by credit card? If so, dispute the charge.
