The much loved and occasionally aspersed team.

I posted a Customer Service request 6-13-05 @ 10:00, to date, I am still awaiting a reply.

I have read repeatedly by CBid staff that their goal is to respond with in 24 hours of posting. That is an admirable goal.

I could live with 48 hours, but over a week and still nothing?

It is a moot point now, the three questions I posted (in a single post) resolved themselves in one way or another.

My point to this point is NOT to bash CBid or it staff, but to point out that while they strive for a 24 hour turn around in my case they fell far short of thier goal.

Atta Boy's are good, but Atta Moe's are necessary from time to time.

Shame on us! I'm so sorry we let that message sit for so long. I just responded to you RDC, so check it out and let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Trish,

Thank you very much. You are too kind. I did not expect the type of response you gave, nor was I looking for it.

You are the personification of great customer service.

Uhhh, Did I mention that missing case of 18 year old scotch? 🙂

Thanks,

Rich

I haven't figured out how to get customer service here.

My latest problem is a top teir #3 that had a gurkha with a 4 inch cut down it (ring and all). It was cut prior to being put in the ziplock because the ziplock was not cut.

I thought this was the one where I would get this great customer service, but I was fooled once again!!!! Instead of getting a replacement sent to me (= good customer service) or getting 2 sent to me for my inconvinence (= great customer service) I get this. "Well you spent $43 for 20 cigars so we'll credit your credit card $2.15" (= customer service that benifits the company not the customer). Now granted I got what I payed for the cigar back but I gave them $2.15 for a cigar that I can't replace for $2.15. I just can't believe that they could'nt just send me a f*cking replacemet!!!!! (sorry but i'm pi$$ed) What do they think I'm lying to get one free cigar????????? Would someone please post for us people who can't get this "great customer service" so many of you talk about how to get it. Lately there seems to be some of us who can't seem to find it. At first i thought it was how much money you spend a week but $200-$500 a week isn't getting it done for me. About a year or two ago last time I was a active bidder I never had no problems to contact customer service about. What happened cbid?

joniam1 -

I apologize for any misunderstanding. It should have been explained to you that we cannot send out single sticks, especially in situations like this. One stick doesn't travel well and would very likely end up like the one we're replacing. It's not necessarily a situation that is only for the good of the company, but also less frustrating to you, the customer.

If you have any questions or want to discuss further, give me a call or email me at [email protected]

All the cigars in the warehouse? Sure! This won't be a problem!

Note: we store the cigars in the humidor, the warehouse is where the merchandise is store.

Tricked ya! 😉

TrishS,

Thanks for the extra box of matches for my troubles, and thanks for the second box of matches for my patience!!!!

That's what I call customer service. Hope you didn't take these from someone elses order?

But for real you went way over board on this one!! All I wanted was a replacement for my damaged smoke.I also called off the raid on the cbid humidor this morning. The new plan is to raid SteveR's humi at his house for tricking me. He lives across from the store, right? I would send the extra sticks back to you but like you said they wouldn't do good in the mail. hahaha. Thanks again TrishS for your help.

Whoa whoa...does this mean I may have to use the key for my humidors? Finally, the lock & key serves a purpose! Just stay out of Indulgence #1...those babies are all about 3 years old.
