Every politician has them. Here are some of Bill Clinton's:

"I want to say one thing to the American people, I'm going to say this again. I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky. I never told anybody to lie. Not a single time. Never. These allegations are false and I need to go back to work for the American people." -- Bill Clinton (01/26/98)

Of the people, by the people, for the people ...That's what the Declaration of Independence says. (Fact: That statement came from Lincoln's Gettysburg Address.)

I am the only President in who knew something about agriculture when I got there. (Fact: Jimmy Carter, Harry Truman, Thomas Jefferson, and George Washington were all farmers before they were Presidents.)

I'm sure I spent more time in Texas than anybody else who had run for President recently. (Fact: George Bush (1980 - 1992), Ross Perot (1992, 1996), Phil Gramm (1996), Lloyd Bentsen (1976, 1988), John Connally (1980), and Lyndon B. Johnson (1960, 1964) -- all Texans who ran for the presidency or vice-presidency.)

I'm frankly very proud of my associates. (Fact: There have been 23 Clinton associates jailed or indicted since he became president. )

I have vivid and painful memories of black churches being burned in my own state when I was a child. (Fact: No black churches burned in Arkansas when he was a boy.)

We can do it, we ought to be a law for everything .

We can't be so fixed on our desire to preserve the rights of ordinary Americans .

I applaud your desire to get an education and training to make sure that we cannot ask Americans to be poor.

I am here because I want to redefine the meaning of citizenship in America... If you're asked in school 'What does it mean to be a good citizen?' I want the answer to be, 'Well, to be a good citizen, you have to obey the law, you've got to go to work or be in school, you've got to pay your taxes and --- oh, yes, you have to serve ....

Our future and our past is linked only by our present .

I send our deepest sympathy to the economic well being of our people still can't be sure of having a job or a student, or a disabled child.

Our job is to help families provide long-term care for a very long time.

What you heard me say was not what you thought I said!!!

We have to cut more spending, but I hope we won't cut government and ourselves.

I would present a five year plan to balance the budget. (6/4/92) - I think we could be on a balanced budget probably within five to six years. ( 6/19/92) - I think we could reach it [balanced budget] in seven years. I think we could reach it in eight years. I think we could reach it in nine years. (10/19/95)

If you lack the determination to deliver what you have promised, do not make promises.

The balanced budget amendment is, in the first place, bad economics.

Probably there are people in this room still mad at me at that budget because you think I raised your taxes too much. It might surprise you to know that I think I raised them too much, too.

I've said I've never broken the drug laws of my country, and that is the absolute truth.

When I was in England I experimented with marijuana a time or two and didn't like it. I didn't inhale and I didn't try again.

It's not easy to inhale smoke when you've never done it. I wasn't trying to exonerate myself and be cute. I tried.

Everybody knows that I have tougher ethics rules than any previous president.

Our new covenant is a piece of paper that says they won't lose their home if they are still working harder for less and less.

There should be no special breaks for the Internet, but we can't allow unfair taxation to weigh it down and stunt the development of the most promising new economic opportunity in decades.

Yo Blood:

Your statement:

"Btw, I'm sure that even Einstein and Mother Theresa had long lists of missquotes and malapropisms."

My retort:

As Reagan used to say; "Well there you go again", picking on Mother Theresa and Einstein again.

LMAO

why quote only clinton and not some other presidents of both parties that made errors.

it is not a contest between bush and clinton as to who can speak better.

unfortunately, we have a president in office now that is just plain ignorant as evidenced by his policies, his speech patterns, even though he has someone feeding him lines in his earpiece, and his inability to reason.

anyone that does not believe that bush is wired can also see him wrapped in ermine robes.

he is a person with a closed mind. he decides what he want's to believe regardless of the realities and he will fire or dismiss anyone who disagrees or attempts to give him informatio he does not want.

he is obstinate and members of his own party are distancing themselves from him to protect their careers.
