According to the news this morning one of them was wounded by officers returning fire, most likely the driver. Maybe the taxpayers of Tennessee won't be paying for a trial and housing for at least one of them anyway.

...hold a lottery for the privilege of pulling the lever for the trap door...two levers...two lottery drawings...throw the money in from the lottery for the officer's family as well...

...in fact, have a lottery for executioner for all executions. It could pay for education here in Texas!!

The bit** was employed as a nurse at the correctional hold facility he was at. She was fired when the administration found out she was bringing in items to him. The Officer who was killed was from Brushy Mountain State Prison (TN) and had been on the job over twenty years, he was 56 years old.
