I collect Football(Raiders), Baseball(Giants), and Boxing Memorbilia. This Boxing Promo poster is about 24 yrs old. I bought it about 22 yrs ago. It's in mint condition.
The 'Main Event' was Holmes vs Leon Spinks. Holmes won by TKO in the 3rd round. Other Notable fighters on this card were: Greg Page(future champ), Saoul Mamby(super lightweight champ), Michael Dokes(future champ).
It was a great night of boxing, with a trubute to the Great Joe Lewis!
Larry Holmes was an under rated Champion. He held the title for 7yrs. Compared to champions of today, he looks pretty good now! Below is his history!
