These critters are all over my parents property in Coloma, CA (on the American River, where John Marshall discovered gold at Sutter's Mill) ...

... in fact, every spring, the doe's have their little ones right under their deck ... and they just hang out there the rest of the summer.

I did some reading up on the Quabbin Reservoir.. there seems to be quite a bit of history and controversery involved with that location. There was a site that you can actually take a dives to certian areas and check out the old sumberged towns and cemetarys. Pretty cool if you ask me!!!

That's a bunch of folklore. When they built the reservoir they cut trees, moved, disassembled, burned homes and businesses. People say when the level is low you can see the church steeple from one of the flooded towns. That’s baloney most were either destroyed or moved. They dug up all the graves (except Native Americans and moved them.) There is a cemetery on Rt. 9 where they moved the bodies. It is a very interesting walk. I am in the lottery to hunt the Quabbin this year so cross your fingers for me……………………..

I haven't been to the Quabbin Reservoir in 15 years. Use to go there a lot when I was a kid.

Quabbin is in my neck of the woods, about a 15 min drive to the gates. Great area.... Enjoy!
