Charlie & TrannyMk got me thinking about football. Rivalries in particular. This isn't about who your team is, or who you cheer toward victory. This is how its sets up...

It's Sunday just minutes before kick off. You have your food, beverage, cigar. Everyone is out of the house. You have 3.5 hours of football bliss ahead of you. Which one of these 6 offerings would you watch?

Chiefs vs Raiders?

Steelers vs Ravens?

Colts vs Patriots?

Cowboys vs Redskins?

Packers vs Vikings?

Little House on the Prarie?

If these were your choices, what would you watch?

Skins VS the Cowboys

Everytime for the last 33 years or longer!

My dad was a skins fan and my uncle (his brother) is a die hard Cowboy fan. Many years of family rivalry.

I always got a hoot out of them cussing the TV!

Now dad is gone and my uncle & I get together for the games, not as much fuss now. I respect my elders and love my uncle, but most of all the Cowboys have had our number for years! Maybe this season will be different.

Chiefs vs Raiders has always been one of the best in all of sports, like the Yankees and Red Sox!

Then Cowboys vs Redskins!

These type of games are not time stamped into a this year catagory but are traditional and have decided many championships!

Bass, I'm not gonna bite...

As for the Pats/Colts, you won't have to choose. This year's matchup will be on Monday Night.

So pop some corn, pop a brewski, and watch the Patriots pop Peyton (even without Bruschi).

I'll say Colts vs Patriots because you didn't list 49ers vs Cowboys.

even better rivalry, Raiders vs. broncos

really raiders vs. anybody is a rivalry. seams like they all bring their a-game when they play the raiders.

note:this is not an Al Davis "The league is out to get us!" rant, just my personal die-hard, black & silver raider opinion

Any combination of Raiders/Broncos and Chiefs make great rivalries!

Well, as for rivalries, there are of course many. And all are rooted deply in fan enthusiasm and tradition. But there is only one rivalry where the participants all have to wear protective gear, including the fans.

Any Raiders/Chargers matchup. It's become so dangerous, that San Diego has now implemented the ticket program where fans have to purchase at least 2 more Charger home game tickets to go to one game. That is esigned to discourage the Raider fans from LA and Oakland from buying all the tickets. They still find ways to get there, but not near as many.

At least 100 get arrested during the game for fighting every time these 2 teams play in SD. It's dangerous.
