This is my hobby other than cigar smoking - more expensive though (including trashing your bike at 100+ mph). I typically don't smoke stogies around 104 octane racing fuel though.

What other hobbies takes up most of your time?468685.jpg

If I could afford one of those, my hobby would be watching you in my rear veiw mirror.

Gotta love the RC51's power delivery - I am trying to get a number of friends to take out their sportbikes to the track to see what these things can really do. Unfortunatley, we have too many Phoenix people out to just pose and not ride. The typical riding outfit around here is flip flops, t-shirt, shorts, and sunglasses. Lots of protection there.

sgates,

OHHHH... dont get me started on "THOSE PEOPLE"!! haa haaaaa. WE HAVE THEM HERE IN OHIO TOO. those who couldnt ride around a corner if they tried.. but insist tearing around the outerbelt and highways like a bunch of idiots.. WITH NO GEAR ON.

that and PIMPING around town stopping at the lights .. reving their engines.. and never getting their bike out of third gear... SHALL I CONTINUE.. HAA HAAAA.

Give me a bike, some leathers, and a twisty mountain road.... theres nothing better.

ps.. i would die to get on a track some day.. but have to get a bike again first... and accroding to everyone but DUCATI.... i need to get a RING FIRST!!! haaa haa

Nice pic . .

. . what circuit do you race? I worked on my friends pitcrew for a few years on the WERA circuit - Nelson Ledges, Summit Pt., Pocono . . . .

And, how do you like the cost of that 104? I ran 110 in my race sled, and it cost me $7.50 a gallon . . . .

Yeah, I think these people are in every city. They must not know what road rash is like - unfortunatley I do. Highsiding my Kawasaki 636 Ninja a year and a half ago took a chunk out of my rear after sliding on my ass 150 ft. at about 80 mph blew out the stitching in my leathers and got it good. Nothing like peroxide and a towel scrubbing it after.

I went to College in Ohio and started on the track there at Mid-Ohio by Mansfield and occasionaly trailerd the bike to Grattan raceway in Michigan. Now I'm in Phoenix and there is only one race track here - Firebird raceway. Small course, not great but is fun. I also trailer my bike to Arroyo Seca in NM and had the privelege of going to Laguna Seca last year and Willow Springs in CA.

I guess the gas is actually 105 R+M/2 method from VP, and at $10.50 a gallon where I buy it (will go up soon for sure) it is a once and a while treat.
