I think I agree with what this petition calls for.

However, looking at the the stances on other issues this organization supports, I won't submit a petition through them. I just fall on the other side of where they do on the most other things (and I just flat don't care about the Pledge of Allegiance issue).

But that's me.

tey, you've got to be the most bitter mexican i have ever heard of, and that's saying quite a bit because i'm part mexican. it's incredible to me that you are angered by the enforcement of law just because it targets folks with your ethnic background. i think we all have sympathy for the way life is in mexican border towns, but our lack of border security is a very serious issue these days. i do, however, blame the government for the situation as it currently exists. they don't crack down nearly as hard as they need to on the companies that hire the illegals. if we take away the jobs, we'll take away their incentive for coming over. that will (hopefully) make our border a little less porous. i don't believe in shooting them on sight. just ship 'em back. prosecute the goons that are making money helping them get over here. i don't want them to die. i just want them to stop compromising our security.

adroomi, as much as i hate to say it, you're wrong. you're just plain wrong. i've actually met and had a smoke with RDC. he's a good guy. he, like many other americans, is just frustrated with working his ass off to provide for his family while he sees a lot of his tax dollars go to the support of an illegal activity. it's that simple. i don't blame him. i understand. i don't much like it, either. america spends too much money and time taking care of everyone but america. he didn't get a free lunch. why should anyone else at his expense? are you going to fault him for that? if so, that's another discussion. just stop calling people racist when the issue has nothing to do with race.
