Ben Stein is a fun pundit! He makes fun of lots of things, but speaks the truth!

Have you ever noticed that anyone that won't go along with Rick's mindless bashing of bush gets attacked?

I challenge you to find one statement in the article that is untrue. There isn't one, and if you were about truth, as you say you are, you would admit it, and not attack this man for advertising eyedrops. That is truly lame, and I believe you are far above that.

GWM,

ahem...I'll take that challenge in Ricks absence.....

First of all, I'd like to point out his contradictory statements follows:

"There is no clear-cut evidence that global warming even exists."

Followed by

"If global warming is a real phenomenon, which it may well be..."

Well gee, does it exist or not? What's he saying?

In regards to his statement-

"it started long before George Bush was inaugurated, and would not have been affected at all by the Kyoto treaty, considering that Kyoto does not cover the world's worst polluters -- China, India, and Brazil.-

Sorry, but that's wrong....the USA produces over 1/3 of the worlds Greenhouse gases, and uses over 1/3 of the world fossil fuels to do it.

and about this one-

"George Bush is the least racist President in mind and soul there has ever been and this is shown in his appointments over and over. To say otherwise is scandalously untrue."

Well, although, only he knows what's in his heart, one has to wonder. He sure does enjoy calling Pakistani people "Paki's," a well know racial slur generated by the brits that essentially carries the same connotations as "****" does in the USA. Pakistani's have asked him to stop doing it, but he does it again and again. Again though, only he knows what's in his heart.

So, while you're going over that for a bit, have a smoke and relax.

There's no contradiction here, Adroomi. Both statements are correct.

“There is no clear-cut evidence that global warming exists.” That’s true. He’s not saying it does or it doesn’t exist.

“If global warming is a real phenomenon, which it may well be…” again, a true statement. He’s not saying it does or it doesn’t exist.

Don’t read more into the statements than is there.

Ben Stein always speak straight forard on an issue, and lets his opinion be known. Most of the time, his opinions are the concrete truth that many people need to hear. Good for him!

BAC,

In his eloquent way of speech, he's leading the reader to believe that there is no such thing.....

It's the old "half-truth" bit.

Adroomi,

Respecting your opinion, I have to disagree. He stated facts, period. Nothing misleading there. There is no clear-cut evidence that global warming exists, although it may. If he was trying to mislead the reader into believe global warming doesn’t exist, why would he openly state that global warming may well be a real phenomenon?

Bac,

Well, I guess it's up to the reader. You and I read it, and we see that he neither confirms nor denies.

Others read it, and they come back and say that there is not such thing as Global Warming since they read it.

I'll agree with you regardless.
