Thur. Sept. 8th 6:03pm our time

I just got off the phone with Wilber. He and his family are fine. He has been very busy cleaning up what is left of his house and other properties. Basically he has removed whatever items he could salvage. He says he's not sure how that governmnet will deal with properties damaged or destroyed in his area but he has heard that they may condem the entire area and require everyone to leave, due to health hazards. He has contacted his insurance co. and they are supposed to be there on the 15th to assess his property.
He insists, that presently he needs no provisions, he has some friends in Fla. that have brought in much of what he needs. Also he says he's doesn't have anyplace to put anything right now. I had planned on taking a trip to see him but the army is not allowing anyone into the area now unless the have a local ID.
He says to tell evryone hello and thanks for all the prayers and concern. His access to the computer is limited as his wife, and other family members are using it to contact FEMA and make insurance claims. I also told how him concerned each of you have been and how much ya'll would like to help and he is grateful. He suggest donations to the Red Cross as there are many people in his area that could use their help.

When he has time he is going to email me some pictures of the area. He is also supposed to include the mailing address where he is staying. He has been told that the Postal Service will not be up and running for a couple weeks.

He also says to those of you in his birthday club, he will obviously be behind but you will get your packages eventually.
