I wouldn't be sorry to see it go. Wow.

I'm glad to know that your son is doing well.

I'm still amazed that your son is on his feet after such a wreck.

Hope he's doing well.

Yep.. He is doing Fantastically Well... the Therapist just yesterday asked him when he thinks he'll be ready to go back to work? Johnny's reply was Yesterday... LOL

he still has a long road to go, as far as his memory completely returning.. but even that is improving daily... he see's his doctor in January and from there after some tests will determin if he can go back to work... but even then he will probably have to wear a helmet of some kind for awhile while at work.. because if he sustains any type of injury to his head they said it could cripple or even worse kill him...

God has a plan for him thats for sure.. what that plan is only God knows... but for sure it wasn't time for my son to depart from us...

I removed the lisence plate and the only blinker (rear) that did not get messed up from the accident... Johnny had just installed those blinkers a week prior to his accident so I figured he would want to keep them as keepsake someday?

PT,

This one will not be salvagable.. there isn't very many parts that could be used. the bank repo'd it because it is their lean on the bike...they have now since promise to pay (from my ex-wife) had expired and she allowed the insurance to laps on it as well (prior to the accident) the only thing the bank has left to do is sue her for the balance owed and Garnish her wages to collect...So the guy told me they will do an estiment on what is left, add the costs for retrieving it to the note and proceed with filing the proper court papers to collect the debt.. my Son being incapacitated and She being Guardian along with being the Garantee'r on the note signed makes it her full responsibility for payment in full... the only thing I did was hold the bike until the alloted time to laps so that the bank could retrieve it...

usahog ,

Just read this thread and want to wish your son a good recovery and your family prayers to get through this. a guy at work , an aquaintance.....i wouldn't say friend cause i didn't know him that long. had a similar wreck.....broke vertabre in his neck and back , can't remember if it broke them "in" or "out" but the doctor told his family if it had went the other way he'd have died instantly.....although he was to have lived at all ! his arm is paralized and most memory was gone . although wearing a helmet is the operators responsability and option here, he wasn't wearing one ... and according to the doctor it would have only protected his face from getting scrapped up from sliding on the pavement, it wouldn't have changed the outcome of the devastating injuries. so , hearing his brother talk about this at work.... i feel for you and yours deeply and wish you all well !!

hang tough !!

I've ridden for over 50 years and I refuse to let my kids ride. I'ts a do as I say, not as I do thing. So I'm weak, so sue me. I have offered to buy their armored cars though. They're all grown now and none of them ride. It's an addictive obsession best not begun. Not that I have an opinion on the subject or anything.

Remarkable recovery on you sons part BTW.

Glad he's well, but it sucks to see the repo man taking his bike... that'll be a blow to his credit, which is pretty important, if you ask me.

Macs,

My Son's credit prior to him having his accident was standing at 657.. he did not make allot of money, but he paid his bills... as I said in another post.. he had also had a 1998 Mustang his Grandma (ex-wifes side) co-signed on this note.. he had tore up the rear-end "Racing it around" and was in the process of getting it fixed... His grandma and mother seen that I was helping my son and we were working on this project together.. so she came along and repo'd the car from him (this past February) he had located another rear-end for $500.00 bucks and I told him I would help him with paying for it and putting it in... THEY did want he and I doing things together so she took the car away from him and then started billing him monthly for the payments adding on the cost for repairs... this was something that had him really upset.. he would say that if she isn't going to give me my car back then why should I have to make the payments? or pay for the repairs because you and I were going to fix it? I said Son.. you tore up the rear end.. so you should have to pay for those repairs.. as far as paying the loan on this one.. if Grandma isn't going to give you the car back then she can eat the damn thing! you do not have to pay for something you do not have unless you wrecked it and didn't have insurance on it? he understood and thought it was BS for her to do what she did and was still doing.. I've got a copy of the letters where she sent him hand written bills demanding payments and if he didn't pay she was adding on her own interests on top of the banks financial interests... His mother had also talked Johnny into signing herself, boyfriend, and his sister onto his cell phone package. in May he was complaining about all of this... he said his cell phone package used to be just him and was $40.00 a month.. when he let his mom add more to his cell package he's paying hundreds a month now.. he was just going to shut them off and I told him he couldn't, he would have to pay probably $175-$200 per phone because of the company's contract.. he say's I'm F*cked.. I then told him he could gather up each phone, put them in a drawer and pay the minimum until the contracts expired and then shut them off... he said he didn't want the hassle and BS that would cause... on August 26th just prior to an illegal court hearing where I lost my Guardianship rights over my Son.. I called the cell phone company and shut the phones off... his bill at that time was $783. and some odd cents.. My ex-wife is minipulating and riding on my Son's credit...

Johnny is now putting these peices together in his head... his mom and Girlfriend and all are lying to him when he's asking about different things... He was very aggitated yesterday when he was here visiting with Us.. he cannot put together why he was out racing and wasn't wearing his helmet? he knew he always wore his helmet, he even stated he knows their lying to him? but doesn't have all the peices together yet...

I did not add anything to his search accept for him to call and talk with his co-workers and Chris (the boy who was with him when he wrecked) because they could fill in these peices he's trying to put together...

Monday night prior to Johnny's accident on Thursday evening. Johnny called me and said once again he was moving out. (leaving his Girlfriend) and wanted to know if he could still move in with us? I told him yes if that was what he was wanting to do? he said yes and we talked for a little over an hour about what was going on and he made plans with me that he was going to pack and this coming weekend he was moving and I was going to help him get moved.. that same Monday night he left work 2 hours early, upset and had been confiding in a co-worker about all his problems... She told us he had told her that he was moving.. she asked him if he was going to live with his mom and he said F*ck her she through me out and then told me she didn't want anything to do with me.. I'm going to live with my Dad... Johnny had been packing all his things that week and then Thursday night came.. he was out intown riding with his friends.. what isn't known is wether his Girlfriend was riding with him or showed up at this Hucks mini mart where the kids were all hanging out.. what is known is that Chris, Johnny and a few other boys had taken off out of town and later Johnny had his accident... from their Johnny is now trying to peice all this puzzle together?

why he didn't have his helmet on?

why his things were packed up, and his GF and Mom were telling him he didn't have his helmet on because it was packed away? but not telling him why his things were packed?

He told Tina yesterday that he knows he's not normal yet, but his Mom and Girlfriend keep telling him he is? and he knows he's not yet...

They keep telling him how much his accident has cost and all kinds of Bull**** he doesn't need to be hearing at this time... They will not allow his co-workers to communicate with him.. he keeps saying his phone is junk and he doesn't get his phone calls? I told him Chad from work has been trying to text message him as well and asked if he got these? Nope.. he hasn't heard from any of them.. Tina and I talk with his old co-workers two to three times a week.. they have not had a Sunday off where they could come over for a cookout when Johnny's with us and they could visit.. and I keep telling Johnny to call them and talk to them... they can help him fill in the missing peices especially Chris, because he and Chris were doing allot of Riding together and talking about allot of Johnny's current events prior to his accident... I'm not going to fill this in because I'm sure his mom and girlfriend have already said to him that I'm lying to him and stiring ****...

I want him to peice this all back together and know it's the facts and then he can tell them where to go and I'll assist him doing so!

Sorry bout the rant...

About the motorcycle... the VP at the bank knows Johnny's incapacitated.. and made it clear that his mother is the Guarantee on the note, he even allowed her to promiss to pay, knows she dropped the insurance in 11/04 (this was when the bank added their own safty insurance to protect their interest) and when she failed to make the payments last week as promissed he then took action, repo'd the bike and filed Garnishment paperwork on her wages in two county's, they told me they can take up to 43% of her wages??

He also told me that when Johnny gets better he can clear this off his credit by using his doctors letters showing he was not capable of paying this note for the timeframe and since they had another person responsible on the note.. it all falls back on that person, and with them Garnishing her wages they will get total payoff...

she **** in her own nest egg....

I just totaled my new car the other day. 2005 Hundai Tiburon. Went out and got a 2006 yesterday. I'm sore as hell. I think is broke some ribs and have a severe case of wiplash.I was comming home very late ( about 3.00 in the morning) and fell asleep at the wheel and plowed into a car stopped at the light. I never even touched the brakes. Thank God none of the other people were hurt badly. I must be getting old. Bummer!
