Here is a question that should go right in line with the 'bread twisty' thread that's going on right now...

When placing a new roll of toliet paper on the roll - do you put it so it is feed from over the top or under the bottom.

I have seen this issue cause some pretty fierce family arguments.

Personally - over the top.

Over... always over. If someone else replaces the roll and it's under... I'll come along behind them and change it to over. I've even changed other people's paper to over before... I figure they just don't know any better.

If you've had kids or cats......under or you end up with your roll of paper spun onto the floor!

don't remember the wife handles this one. If I need a new roll I set it on the tank.

Reminds me of a Simpson's episode where principal skinner is tying his shoes...

"Over, under, in and out... that's what shoe tying's all about".

Then again, everything reminds me of a Simpson's episode.

Over or Under makes no difference to me. I'm going to wipe my a$$ with it, why would it matter how I pulled it off the roll?

Luckily David & I feel the same about this one... always over. I also change it if someone puts it the wrong way.

I didn't know it mattered until I got married. Now I have been made to understand that it does matter... and IT SHOULD BE OVER DAMN IT! WHEN WILL YOU GET IT THROUGH YOUR THICK SCULL THAT IS SHOULD BE OVER? IF YOU PUT IT UNDER AGAIN I WILL....

Oops. Sorry, I was channeling my wife there for a second.

bassdude beat me to it.

if there is no roll on the axle, I can reach for one under the sink from where I "sit". Afterwards, it goes on the top of the toilet or on the vanity.

I'm with uncleb, I didn't pay much attention to it until the lady entered my life. She likes it over, I'm an under kind of guy.

Speaking of the Simpsons, watching them now and Bart just took the elephant (soon to be named Stampy) over the $.

Homer: "Bart! With $10,000 we'd be millionaires. We could buy important things like... Love."

OK back to the question. It seems to tear off better if coming from under.

Oh, and I'm a wad-er.
