adroomi
i must admit i never heard of her nor heard her sing until i dug out some clips on a web site.
toby is a trained vocalist and so is my son bradley. toby is almost 70 and while her upper register is a little lower now, the pipes are not rusty. bradley sings and acts in community theater and has a clean 2 1/2 octave range.
when i first heard montserrat cabbele singing "o mio babbino caro" i cried, and whenever i hear it again i cry again.
i listened to some of the clips of nana mouskouri. toby knew who she was but had never heard her sing.
the lady has some pipes. we are missing nfl kick off just to hear her clips. some things have priorities.
now you can do me a dollar or two favor. if you can find her cd "Only Love: The Best of Nana" please send it to me.
i am going to send you a post later that i was going to put on the thread about the two women and their adopted daughter. you and blood, and maybe pable can handle it but i doubt that anyone else on cbid could.
it's not that i lack the balls, but sometimes discretion is a good thing. i don't need the noise that would follow, nor the prayers for my death, if not direct threats to me, my family and my dogs and birds, any any blood relatives that is sure to follow.
your's and blood's opinion will be sufficient to satisfy me.
besides, i'm starting to get annoyed by rug. his wife doesn't seem to fit with him.
screw the last few paragraphs, i just listened to two more clips and i need to hear her again with complete songs. when the hair on my arms stand, i'm in.
thanks for the introduction to what will be great pleasure. enjoy the concert.
