LOL Bloody! The Kingdom of Bohemia existed in what is now the modern day Czech Republic. They were originally a Celtic people, and then intermingled with the Germanic and Slavic tribes as migration took place. My ancestry is mainly Bohemian, German and French. My father's mother was 5' tall with black hair (when she was young), almost black brown eyes and a little hooked nose. She spoke English, Slavic and Yiddish.

Hey Andy and Rick, did your grandmothers ever make kolaches? If they weren't so much work I would be as big as a barn.

Paul, if you are feeling adventurous early some morning go to Blacky's Bakery in NE Mpls. They make some of the best kolaches I have had, next to bobe's of course. My favorite are the prune, but apple is a close second. It is on 22nd Ave NE, but go early. There are lots of Polocks and Bohunks in that neighborhood, and they go fast!
